Monday Starting week 27: The Belly Fat Cure.

There has been a couple of questions that were asked to me that I would like to answer.

Lisa asked how long it took me to get over the sugar withdrawals?? To be honest it was 6 months ago. I just remember that when I started I was hungry a lot (look Harvey).  I went to bed hungry and woke up hungry every day. I think the hunger trumped the sugar cravings. My body wasn't used to eating so different. I used to eat what ever I wanted and as much as I wanted. I ate junk food, and ice cream at night. I also ate my share of healthy food, but I guess not enough. But I have heard lots of other people say it took them around 2 weeks.

Harvey asked me how many carbs am I eating in a day?? I have been eating 3-4 a day I think. I don't track it on paper anymore. I just add it in my head. Usually I have 1 with breakfast like a tortilla or pita or bread (17 or 18), then my Barleans (5) and metamucil (5). Then usually 1-2 servings for lunch and my super seed (5) I have between lunch and dinner. And what ever veggies I have a day. So that might be 3-4 servings a day. Sometimes I have a soda and maybe 3 Joseph's cookies, so that would actually be 1 more.  But in the beginning, I always had my 6 a day.

I am not hungry any more like I used to be in the beginning. I always drink lots of water, and eat a cheese for a snack if I need. I feel like I am getting plenty to eat. My determination to loose is over powering my love for food. I feel so really good about myself now when I look in the mirror. I still have a long way to go, but I know I can get there now with The Belly Fat Cure and all of your support.

Thanks for listening. Love to all of my BFC friends. Please leave your comments.

My thought for the day;  You know that saying: It takes a village? Well I feel that you are all my village. Thanks...

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  2. Hello Rosy! I am very new to Facebook and Blogging! In fact I found your site today upon opening a Facebook account so I could access JC's page! I've been browsing around and finally found a place (here!) to communicate with you! Congratulations is first in order! Second, I happened upon the pictures of your new home - Fantastic!! You must live in FL or CA!!

I started BFC May 1, 2010 and have released a total of maybe 5# in all this time! I've tried twice his 7 day plan and never make it through. I go back to daily jotting my S/C and average my 15/6!

I haven't quite figured out what I'm doing wrong. #1 I'm not big on water, I don't use the suggested laxatives, nor fiber supplements. Does the Metamucil and Super Seed have carbs to count?

He says to not count carbs under 4 grams, wouldn't they add up at the end of the day?

I must be figuring incorrectly or my carbs are too much in the grains?

How exactly did you start out? Glancing on Facebook it seems a sure thing I should have done better as it seems impossible not too!

Hope you answer. Have a great swim!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
