Thursday of week 17: 201 Baby!!

This morning before I got on the scale I  said to myself, "I feel skinny today". I was so excited to see 201 BABY!!!!  I know that sounds silly to all of you skinny peeps. But that's 37lbs down for me. I never thought I could do that. 

Here is my breakfast that I have on most every day, sometimes I change up and have something different.
1-2 eggs, smart and delicious wheat tortilla w/cheese, blackberries, 2 cups of coffee w/turvia, half and half and cinnamon sprinkled on top. Yum Yum!!

Yesterday my husband and I went to a seminar in the morning at 10am. I ate my breakfast first of course. We were done around 11:30-12 and we were hungry for lunch. My husband wanted to go to Lucille's BBQ. It's a great restaurant, but I haven't been there since I started the BFC.   I said "I don't know what I could possible eat over there, but OK maybe I'll have a salad." He loves BBQ, His favorite. I decided to have a baked potato with meat, cheese, sour cream and scallions on top w/Caesar salad. I wound up eating only half of the salad and just the meat and 4 bites of the potato. I really thought I was ruining my diet because I tasted a sweet sauce on the meat. (too much sugar)

I guess my moral to that story is: You can go out to eat and do this.

My thought for today: Persistence is the key. Don't quit!! Don't give up!! A little bit a week is great and better than I was doing before....gaining a little bit a week.......

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
