Friday of week 9: Belly Fat Cure

So Tracy asked me yesterday what I did in those first 2 weeks and why I lost so much in the beginning. I read thru the book and like I said before I have never tried or even thought to lose weight before. So I just ate what I wanted from the book. I didn't use the menus, although I did look at them often for ideas. I love chicken and ate that allot. The skinless boneless kind. I was eating a salad all the time but now I've switched to baby leaf spinach. Jorge says it is 1 of the 5 foods that women should eat.
Salmon - spinach - eggs - cinnamon - flax seed oil -Barleans.......
I sprinkle the cinnamon in my coffee and when I eat oatmeal I put some in there.
The Flax seed oil comes in yummy flavors and you can just eat a tbls. right out of the bottle.
I think at first my body went into some kind of shock from not eating all that junk food and sugar and hidden sugars that is in everything. So I noticed a difference after 3 days - I saw a weight loss immediately. But then after 2 weeks I think my body adjusted to the new way of eating, and after reading allot of comments on facebook, I think this is where allot of people give up because they say it’s not working any more. But I really want this to work so I decided that I would not give up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am still determined to get back down to 150lbs. Come on big girls like me - Who's with me???????

Thanks for reading and please leave your comments.

My thought for today: Look in the mirror and tell yourself that you are beautiful!!

Keep on BFC ' n : )

  1. I think you're doing great. Your down 22 pounds since you started and that is a lot. I have had two weeks of zero loss (I don't weigh until Monday) so I am hoping to loss some this week. I think I am down 15 pounds since Feb 1, which is good for me. I am not exercising and this doesn't help. I don't think that I would loss that much on any other type diet. WE CAN DO I.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
