I really don't have much to talk about today. I just wanted to pop in and say hi and chat a bit.
My foot feels better each day. I have been walking with my furry girls just about every day for the past week. I noticed yesterday that it felt much better and I could go faster. So that's good.
I went out back yesterday and sprayed for weeds. First I put a plastic bag over my right foot, then put on the boot. (for just in case) I have a portable tank and found the weed killer stuff and hobbled around the hole yard and sprayed everywhere I saw a weed. By the time I was done - I was sweating.
Have I said how HOT it is lately over here. at least 95 or more for over a week or so now. I cooled off and then after a few hours I went back out and hobbled around the yard and picked up the dog poop. Well someone's got to do it. I wonder if I could teach them to do it themselves. LOL
I have been feel very alone lately. And hormonal I guess. Yup - still no menopause yet.
The reason I talk about personal stuff sometimes on here is to let you know that I am a real person just like you and we all have problems sometimes.
I want you to know that no matter what YOU TOO are going thru that you don't have to stuff your face to feel better. Keep eating HEALTHY no matter what. OK?
Be STRONG and don't give in to the FOOD BULLIES. You know, those people around you that say they believe in you but are constantly trying to sabotage you by tempting you with CRAP!
You are responsible for YOU! No one else! Please Remember that!
Here's what I ate yesterday;
breakfast was the healthy muffin I always make with some berries and coconut butter on top.
Lunch was some shredded steamed cauliflower a few shrimp I found in the freezer, broccoli and some spinach thrown in for good measure. Oh yeah I ate 1 slice of my healthy bread with some of my homemade nut butter on top.
snack was some raw pumpkin and sunflower seeds. I learned my lesson from the last time and now when I buy nuts I put them in ziplock baggies in the freezer. LOL
Dinner I ate a spinach salad, then Hubby got us some food from Boston Market. Mine was turkey, spinach and veggies. Of course I was not that hungry and only ate half. Also it was late for me - after 8pm (a big No-No)
I am not sure what to think but for me - when I eat mostly grain free for many days I seem to gain weight. Yup this morning I was up like 3lbs. Oh well.
So - My breakfast this morning was AlpineValley 12 grain toast with my homemade coconut butter on top, berries and eggs with sauted mushrooms and kale.
Before I go - here is a couple of pics with my little Gran-Pumpkin wearing a couple of the flowers I made for her.I don't think she was too happy. LOL
Have a great day. This is PurpleRosy signing off...
Keep on BFC ' n :-)

She is adorable! I wanted to let you know that I took your advice about only taking a bite of something bad. I did it last night at work when it was someone's birthday. I took one bite of 2 desserts that was made and that is all I needed. I felt great because I am a huge sweets eater.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome Jessica - I am very proud of you!! :-)
DeleteFood bullies can be so hard to ignore!!! Especially when you're thinking: "They can eat whatever they want and don't have to worry about it!" But, you're right... we need to be strong. Your granddaughter is a cutie-- I should learn how to make those headbands for my niece! Glad to hear that your foot is better. Keep blogging- we love to read it!
ReplyDeleteI hear you about menopause. I'm about done with I all but my body says not quite yet. Really, how long must this go on. I started at 11 so it's been 42 years of this nonsense!!! Do I sound hormonal??? Always love your advice. I haven't blogged in awhile. Don't feel like I have anything worth saying. Glad to hear the foot is healing. And that baby is precious!! XO!
ReplyDeleteShe is just beautiful!!! Those headbands are adorable.
ReplyDeleteWhen your foot feels better you should join a club! I have no idea what kind of club, but one with lots of women! You will either love being around them, or happy that you don't have to:)
