HI Friends,
Yesterday I tried to do as much as I could. Unpacked about 8 boxes of books and stuff, measured - measured - measured and trimmed and sewed the curtains in the bedroom and dining room, dealt with the gardener, and the locksmith which was $106 to re-key all my locks and I even had him put a new one on our mailbox - for just in case. You never know what the previous owners are thinking - it was a short sale after all.
Oh yeah - cleaned up some of the weeds and crap in the back to try to make the furry girls more comfortable, (funny thing was when I was done I stepped back on the cement and felt then saw the bottom of my shoes were covered in prickers)
and chasing peaches to make sure she is not itching her bumps which I saw this morning that she was sneaking and doing anyway. giving her the creams, pills, wipes and gel twice a day.
For some reason I was having an emotional day, crying a bit. Hubby asked me what's wrong on the phone - cause he was at work - I just didn't know. Felt over-whelmed.
Now that I have gotten to the size I want to be, I continue to write this blog to help others by offering support, tips and healthy recipes. I write this for YOU!! Not for the recognition - but just to help others. If I can help YOU get healthy and to a size you will be proud of - well then, that's all I want.
But I have to say that I have been a little bit bothered, and I'm not even sure why though. I told you that Jorge sent me a message about the magazine - but she never called when she said she would. A few days ago Jorge twittered me a very nice message and told me to email him, but never responded and never does.
Not that I want to be put out there or anything but I think that a lot of other women MY AGE would love to know that it is possible to get healthy and lose SO MUCH weight so late in life and KEEP it off too. I have not met many people that have done this and kept it off with-out surgery. Only a few. Hubby said I get passed over all the time because I don't kiss anybody's ass and I always speak my mind whether I agree with others or not.
See... I am still GROUCHY today. SORRY. I am so tired and no sleep for 2 days. But hubby works nights for a few and there will be no-one there to snore in my FACE!!
Breakfast yesterday, kale mushrooms and eggs and toast with my homemade nut butters on top.
Lunch was good, turkey w/1 slice of pepperjack cheese split in half, avocado and some horse raddish mayo, a tomato and a few berries.
My snack was a smoothie w/vanilla whey protein powder, some chia seeds, USVAM, ice, a few blueberries and 2 squares of Lindt 85% all blended up. tasted like ice cream.
Dinner was salad and chicken and 2 creamcheese cookies.
These are just 2 of MANY horse trails around here - see complete with giant poopies.
We haven't seen any movies for a long time because of the move, I want to sneak away to go see one. Fingers crossed. Maybe popcorn will make me feel better.
Have a great day. This is PurpleRosy signing off...
Keep on BFC ' n :-)

Some tips if you are having trouble
- First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
- Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
- Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
- Make sure you drink lots of water.
- Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
- Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
- Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
- Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
I hope this helps.

Again Rosalie thank you for this blog! It really makes a difference for me! I know I am only one person but truly I am grateful!
ReplyDeleteYour house seems to be coming together really quick! It has taken me months in the past to get my house together so good job!!! Still love the idea of having horses around. I love them!
Have a wonderful week-end...praying for sleep to find you!
~ Francie ~
I think your husband is right about the ass-kissing thing. Unfortunately, that is how Ive found it works in business. My boss loves everyone who kisses her ass and I refuse to do it so she doesn't like me much....Lol! Anyhow, I'm sure once all the unpacking is done and you get some sleep, you will feel better. It's gonna be hot out today so I say go take a load off and GO SEE A MOVIE!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your popcorn!

PS-Heading to Maui on Sunday(in a bikini.....wooohooo!)and will only have Ipad mini so not sure if I will be commenting much until I get back.
Great minds think alike. I agree with your hubby...no ass kissing!!! Speak your mind!!! Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteI think you would be perfect to be featured in a magazine about the BFC. You are at goal and you still continue to blog almost everyday. That's the accountability that helps people like me. I always log on to see what you have to say, what you are, what you are up too. You have accomplished a significant weight loss and kept it off. I hope Jorge realized what a good ambassador you are for the program!
ReplyDeleteI agree with what everyone has previously said. I am not ass-kisser either. I would be bothered by them not following through, it is just plain rude !
ReplyDeleteI have found out more information from YOU than I have in the book & the website.
Hope you get some much needed sleep !
I agree also I'm not much of an ass kisser either and speak my mind more than people would like me to so keep it real thats the only way to be. I would also like to thank you again for your Blog and the information I gather from it. it is helping me get through the rough times when I think I cant do it. and Dot is right I have found more inspiration from your blog than any book that I'm reading. hope you find some Movie time soon and relaxation. stay strong I believe I found your story for a reason. have a terrific weekend !!
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to hear you've been so down lately. Go to the movies, it will help you feel better.
ReplyDeleteRosalie, I hope you get out of the funk you're feeling you're in. Maybe it's a hormonal thing? I know that a week or so out before my period, the waterworks start while just watching a commercial, sometimes completely out of nowhere-like while reading a horror novel, even. The stresses involved with a move could certainly be to blame. Your blog's a great tool, especially in that it shows that being mindful of what you eat requires life-long effort.
