Wow I really got a bug up my or something on that last post and the comments you all left were just awesome. I feel like I have such a passion for the way I eat and being healthy now that I need to share with the world.
Now at age 53, I have never felt so healthy before! I Love all the things I eat and I think that is a big key. Now I realize that this might not be for everyone, (which I really don't understand why). In the beginning it takes a tremendous amount of will-power. Then once you hang in there to get past the hump and plateau, it all begins to just come naturally. Patience - Don't Give UP - YOU CAN DO IT TOO!!
You must network and get support and support others. Get new recipes and ideas. Many recipes that I find have honey or agave or stuff we don't eat, I just sub other stuff that is BFC friendly.
***I still want to have a weekly BFC Support Group. I live in Rancho Cucamonga and if you are interested, private message me on Facebook with the days and times you might be available. I will look into a video conference thingy, but that will cost money and I don't work sooo.
Remember, when I post what I eat that now I've been doing this for way over 2 and 1/2 years and I don't need to lose any more weight and do eat a bit different then when I was trying to lose.
Examples;
I never ate any fruit except blackberries and raspberries - usually no more then 6-8 a day.
When I ate a salad I usually picked out all the carrots and ate only 1 bite of tomato and cucumber and picked out the rest.
I tried to eat as little sugar as possible - that was the key for me.
I started eating only 1 carb with my breakfast and 1 with my lunch, then if you count all the other stuff it might have added in 2 more carb servings for the day.
Go back and read my earlier posts it might help you.
Breakfast yesterday; The most important meal of the day!! was 2 oasis toast w/butter and my home-made nut butter, turkey bacon, 1/2 avocado, and eggs w/mushrooms and onions and cheese.
I made another batch of Almond Butter, this time I roasted the almonds first and added some cinnamon and stevia and a bit of macadamia nut oil. It is so easy and delicious.
Lunch was shirataki noodles w/pesto sauce, chicken cut up, 4 green olives with garlic and jalapenos inside, and a small pc of tomato cut up and grated parmesan cheese on top.
Snack was 2 squares of 86% girhadellis chocolate with the almond butter on top.
Dinner was broccoli and wings. Yeah I know I am addicted to them. What are you gonna do?
Desert was a pumpkin muffin with the frosting and a chocolate cheesecake muffin with natures hollow on top. So good I had to have 1 of each.
So my breakfast this morning was Pumpkin pancakes, 3 for today and 3 for tomorrow. I put butter on top and used Natures Hollow raspberry syrup - UMM-MMM Good.
Tummy doing the happy dance right now.
The weather today is supposed to be 72 and it might even rain later, can you believe it? Excited I am actually wearing jeans today instead of shorts. LOL
Well thanks for listening and have a great day...
This is PurpleRosy signing off...
My thought for the day:
A Successful Day
If I have been of service, if I have glimpsed more of the nature and essence of ultimate good, if I am inspired to reach wider horizons of thought and action, if I am at peace with myself, it has been a successful day.
Keep on BFC ' n :-)

I made those pumpkin muffins last night, they are amazing. Thanks for the tips on how you made so much progress so early on. It's good to hear anecdotal evidence. Check out this website, it is supposed to be free for up to 12 people to video chat, sort of the "new" skype. http://www.oovoo.com/home.aspx
ReplyDeleteI agree.. once you get over the hump, things go smoothly and you get into the groove, everything just comes natural. But getting to that point is hard for lots of us. I have been on the BFC program now for 87 days and have lost 22 pounds and feel fantastic and I don't even have to think about what I eat, it just comes natural. Keeping informed by reading great blogs like the PurpleRosy is so helpful..Thanks Rosy for keeping us informed...I love reading your blog everyday and the other blogs that you follow.
ReplyDeleteKerry thanks for the suggestion.
ReplyDeleteAnyone who is interested in doing a video conference call with me, download this software on your computer and sign in thru Facebook.

You can do 12 people for free. Do it and maybe we can do our first one later today. :-)
I like the advice you give to those who are following the bfc. I am not, but I am sure they appreciate the helpful adivce, I know I did when I was following the 15/6. some people, like myself just need to find what works for US, so when and now that you dinf whats worked for you, you find it hard to believe that this plan doesnt work for all, but it really doesnt. To each their own, as long as we are trying to make a change for the better, I give everyone credit for that! :)
