Tried to Keep Busy

Hey There,

I have been trying my hardest to keep busy this weekend to take my mind off all this house crap. I tell you that every time I have a free moment my mind wanders and I get SO upset. Hubby has been with me for way over 20 years and knows how I am. If someone says they are gonna do something, I think they should do it - or at least  call and explain why not. Well anyways...

Saturday's meals;
Breakfast I made some pancakes w/1/4 c ea. almond flour and ground flaxseed, and 1 tb of coconut flour. This makes 6, 3 for me and 3 for hubby.

lunch; we were at the movies after 12 and I snuck in a pc of chicken in a baggie in my purse, and of course popcorn. We saw Battleship and we loved it. Very entertaining I highly recommend it.
2 thumbs up.

Dinner I just had a spinach salad.

Breakfast Sunday; a flaxseed muffin w/ the coconut butter, cinnamon, truvia, butter mixture on top and a pc of left over chicken w/as much of the skin removed as I could.

Lunch today; a carb chopper wheat tortilla and chicken and horseradish mayo on top.

We went to the Home and Garden show in Anaheim. It was free to get in but $12 to park - go figure. We walked around and got a bunch of flyers and business cards for the MAYBE new house. I ate some nuts and 2 squares of 86% dark chocolate I had in my purse as we walked around. I always come prepared where ever I go.

Wreeek, Reeek, Wreeek, Reeek - that is what I hear right now as I type this. It's 9pm and as soon as the sun sets they are at it every night.

R.S.F.S is doing very well. Oh  - that stand for Rat Shit Flying Squirrel. Cause she looks like a cute Rat Shit and jumps like a Flying Squirrel. She plays with Peaches and Mandy and makes all kinds of noises and rolls over to get their attention and is so cute sometimes. I don't think she has EVER been this happy just by being a dog. I will try to get it on video if I can so you can see - its too cute. But I still don't want 3 dogs. Just thought I'd say that. LOL

Well I hope you all have a nice day at work Monday Morning for those of you that work. I wish you a stress free joy filled day.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

My thought for the day:

Unlock Gratitude

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. Lying in bed in the hotel room in connecticut reading your blog. Sorry you are worried. It's so hard to keep your mind off things and stay positive at times like this. I'm sure things will all work out. I'm so happy that your little RSFS is happy. As a dog lover I know you feel good about that! As always cross country love and hugs from NewHaven!!

  2. I agree that the gal should have called back when she said she would - that's always so frustrating when people don't keep their word! But today is Monday and hopefully you'll get your answer today (and fingers crossed that that answer is YES)!! :) Have a great day Rosalie!

  3. I was just reading that lots of Harry Potter fans got/bought owls as pets and have let them go now. So maybe your owl is a former pet and confused! Going to take the family to see Battleship over the long wkend. I LOVE Taylor Kitsch!

Your pancakes look yummy. Did you buy the coconut flour locally or order it online?

  5. It's always a good idea to have chocolate and almonds when you go on a day excursion! I'm waiting for that movie "Snow White and the Huntsman". For some reason it looks good to me.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
