Life Goes On...

Good Morning Folks,

Well today is another day and life goes on no matter how we feel or what is happening. I know sometimes we just want to make everything stand still so we can tiptoe around it, but that is not how life is.

Life Goes On...

So one thing I am so grateful for is the fact that I have learned to not emotional eat in times of stress. I can't tell you how proud of myself for that I am. I watch commercials on TV and say, Boy I used to eat that, or I used to eat TONS of that.

Not only have I eliminated all the excess and artificial sugars from my life - but I eat hardly any processed and pre-prepared foods too. When I eat out I always try to make the healthiest choices. You should have seen the kind of crap I used to eat all day. You can tell from my pictures I guess.

I have also learned to just be happy with myself the way I look and not try to focus on - OH-just 5 more pounds. Or just a little bit more... We have to set an attainable goal that will be reasonable for our body type and then once you reach it - Be happy with you - saggy-jiggly skin and all.

We are all beautiful just the way we are....

Hubby and I have gone over any options left for the house and realize that the only way for us to get it is to wait  until after July 20th to close escrow. That is when our BK will have reached 3 years and we will have to do 20% dwn reg loan - not FHA. That will take every penny we have and some of his 401k, but he says its OK. Tomorrow is our walk thru and I spoke to the builder and she said we should still go thru with it and she said they will hold it, but I have not told her of the exact date yet. That's 2 more months. I hope they will let us do it this way. That will give us more time to save money from now until then. If we turned down again - I think I will just run away, but she said it will close after that date - so...

Do me a favor and don't mention about the house thing on Facebook for now - OK?

Here's what I ate yesterday;
Breakfast was my pancakes and I put about 5 blueberries in each one and OMG it was so good that way.
Lunch was 2 oasis bread toasted w/avocado smashed and then some tuna w/horshraddish mayo, bacon bits and some cheese melted on top of each. and 2 squares of 86% dark chocolate after.

Dinner was a spinach salad and buffalo wings and Hubby and I shared some wine. I had 2 small glasses and some RediWhip for desert - and yuck those 2 things don't mix. ha-ha
I wish you all a great BFC food filled fun stress free day.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

My thought for the day:

All Possible Ways

Experience life in all possible ways — good-bad, bitter-sweet, dark-light, summer-winter. Experience all the dualities. Don’t be afraid of experience, because the more experience you have, the more mature you become.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. What about having to be out of your current house by the end of the month? Am I remembering that correctly? Will you be able to stay where you're at until then?

  2. You rock for staying away from stress eating. Two more months; just keep breathing. I want to bap the whole situation in the head for you with a fairy wand and make it okay NOW!

  3. I hope things work out for you, I really do. I'm so happy that you are still in control of what you what you eat. That is a hard one to master, and I'm still working on it. Hugs from me to you!

  4. Can I offer you a reason to want to be in your house for 2 more months? It is a 4 letter word, POOL:)
I truly hope it all works out for you. You are doing great with putting it all in perspective and not turning to our old friend food!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
