Running around in the Rain...

Good Morning Friends,

The sun is shining here in Southern Cali today - no more rain. Yeah. Yesterday it was raining most of the day and my poor poochies were shaking and terrified cause there was thunder. Hubby is off work and home for 7 days so wish me luck. LOL.
my breakfast yesterday, I made one of those low carb buns
lunch; I made some Quinoa w/onions, zucchini, chicken bullion, cumin and a can of tuna. and 2 squares of 86% dark chocolate for desert.

We left yesterday to go do a few things and it was still raining and Mandy (who is scared of big noises) was panting-shaking- and pacing. Peaches shakes by proxy. She does it cause Mandy does it. Hubby wanted to put them in the garage and I said ABSOLUTELY NOT!! Look at them!! So we tried to get them to go potty and left them shaking in the house. It was 2:30.

We went to the bank, Hubby met some guy in the rain near Victoria Gardens i n the rain to buy a used cell phone from him. I did sell the table and chairs and a reclining chair yesterday. So we went to a few furniture stores to look for a new table and chairs for the new house. OOPS! Oh-Well

We went to Sleep Number store and tested the beds. They were great and EXPENSIVE!! over $4000 for a Cal King. By the time we were done, it was after 6:30 and  I was H-U-N-G-R-Y. So we went to the nearest Chipotle and I had a salad w/black beans, and water of course - the usual.

We looked around a few more places and then got home by around 8:30ish. I was worried about the dogs - but they were fine and no accidents.

We each had a glass of Pinot Noir while we watched Fringe on TV.
Mine and Hubby's breakfast this morning  - I made some pancakes w/1/4c almond flour, 1/4c flaxseed, 1 tb of coconut flour, 2 eggs, and some unsweetened almond milk, cinnamon, baking powder and vanilla.

Today we are supposed to attend a birthday party for Hubby's-Dad's-sister's-daughter who is 70. The party is supposed to be at a place somewhere in Santa Monica at 5pm. We are supposed to go pick up his mom first in Pasadena. It should be fun.

  5. I'm glad that you are getting rid of some of your things. It will make things easier. Getting new things is always fun!
The bun thing looks interesting. Why do you have to use parchment paper? Can't you just grease the cookie sheet?

  6. Since moving is so close, we have had to put off furniture shopping until after we move. Which is less for us to move, so that is ok. I cannot WAIT to get moved and get back on track! I can't buy any more food until we use up what we have...plus, all the stress, I have been a wreck, lol!
Have a fun week...get out of the house as much as you can!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
