Don't follow Me - Follow You...

Hello My Friends,

I wanted to talk about Following the Belly Fat Cure today. Most of us on here Follow the BFC. As you read in my last post, there are many people who don't believe that this is the healthiest thing for us.

Many of us are here to prove them all wrong. I am so grateful that my Husband saw Jorge on a TV show in January of 2010 and told me about the Belly Fat Cure and led me to where I am today

I was one of those people that just KNEW in my heart that I would be a size 18-20 for ever. I knew at my age I would never be able to lose any weight. Like Amber commented on my last post, his version of losing weight and being healthy was going against everything we were ever taught about cholesterol and what is healthy to eat.

I was skeptical at first like many of you, but thought - what do I have to lose? Nothing that's what. If it didn't work - well I would just be the same wouldn't I? He had a lot of things that I liked to eat - so it was easier for me to get started and get a handle on it.

Oh - boy in the beginning it took me 2 whole months for me to get used to this way of eating. 2 whole months for me to stop sitting, holding my tummy cause it hurt at night cause I was so hungry.

I have no idea how some people that start the Bell Fat Cure say: I am never hungry! Cause that was not me. I was a big girl and I guess I thought I needed a lot of food. That is what I was used to - right?

I have made many changes in what I eat along the way - like eating way less beef and mostly chicken and turkey, which is much healthier for you. I never ate regular bacon like he says to because I know that the turkey bacon is less fat and calories and just better for you than the regular.

I realized along time ago that everything Jorge says might not be the best thing for everyone. I have always done my own thing on the BFC and never followed his menus exactly. I used his book and information and did what I thought was healthy for me.

I will never let anyone ever tell me how to live or what to do. So don't you either!

I write this blog in the hopes that it helps someone else to realize that - this could be you too. You could lose 90lbs too and keep it off like I have. But you have to full time - 100%. You can't be a part-timer. If you want to see the same results that I have gotten - you have to do it right.

That means no Diet cokes - or no artificial sweeteners - or no Pizza Hut - or no white grains (like rice or white breads or pastas) - no more milk duds at the movies - no slurpees on a hot day - no cranberry or orange juice in the mornings - and no OREO'S - no more Mocha-chinos.

Ok so you get the idea...

This is my journal of how I did it and what has worked for me.  Now I share my life with you.

Don't FOLLOW me!!

Follow YOURSELF - and what you think is best and will work for you!!

What I ate yesterday:
2 oasis toast w/butter and peanut  butter, 2 eggs w/1/2 avocado and cheese, turkey bacon.

lunch: a bowl of the turkey chili I made the night before and 2 zucchini-cheese-coconut flour muffins.

I mowed the front and back yard, then took the girls for a 2.7 mile walk. It was such a beautiful day and I really enjoyed it.

snack: nuts and 1 square of 86% dark chocolate.

Hubby and I went to the bank and then to The Home Town Buffet for dinner then to Kohls. I had a 30% off coupon that will expire on the 31st.

I got 2 tank tops and I was trying on jeans. He was right - I need some that fit me and I only have 3 pairs the rest are size 10's. I tried on a bunch but only got 1 pair - Rockin-Republic size 6, reg price $80 on sale for $60 - then w/30% off - yeah.
Rock and Republic Berlin Skinny Jeanshttp://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/landingpages/rockrepublic/women/jeans/PRD~1056424/Rock+and+Republic+Berlin+Skinny+Jeans.jsp#
I know its hard to tell but they have a bedazzled R's on the pockets and they fit great.

Then we got home by 8pm and I made a chocolate 2min coconut muffin.

Thanks for listening . Lots of love to you all.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

  1. I love that you always remind people to do what works for them. That's ultimately the best advise.

  5. I like the jeans! You're right about using the BFC book as a basic guide and coming up with your own menus. That's what I do too. Plus everyone likes different things and you have to come up with food choices that fit AND you like or else you won't stick with it.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
