You all should really come over here and visit today. Its supposed to be sunny and 79 degrees. I just love living over here is southern California. I really appreciate the weather cause I grew up in Michigan.
I noticed that some of you are counting calories. I know how tempting that is, but on the Belly Fat Cure - you don't have to do that at all!! I am living proof that this does and will work.
I know may of you use that great app called MyFitnessPal and it counts calories for you. If there is just some way for you to ignore that part of the app?? I have always used the app called CalorieCounter on my phone. It looks like a little yellow scale. It will tell you the nutritional value in most foods and is very helpful for me when I am out.
It also has many Restaurants on there. It was kind of like a game to Hubby and me when I started cause we would look up foods at the restaurant we were at before I ordered.
OK - So, no more counting calories - right?? I do look at the calorie content in some foods before I buy them like cheese. I will look at different brands and see which one has less calories along with the sugar and carbs.
Here's what I ate yesterday:
breakfast; 3/1
I ate the other salmon patty and 2 eggs w/cheese, a few blueberries, and a minute muffin I made with some pumpkin in it - I put it in the silicone cups instead of a mug and I ate them with just butter.
lunch; 3/1
OK so I know this was fattening and you can't eat this every day - but it was very good. I made a grilled cheese w/the Oasis, low-carb sprouted flaxseed bread (on my Fave Products page) 3 slices of cooked turkey bacon, 2 slices of swiss and 1 pepperjack cheese, w/butter to fry in of course and 2 lemon cookies.
The dogs and I went for a great 2.3 mile fast walk. I have no idea why it was less miles than the other day, we went the same way and the other day it said it was 2.5. Again another beautiful day yesterday over here. There is an open invitation to any of you to come and walk with me every day if you want.
dinner; 3/1
This was; 1 cup of shredded cauliflower that was left, some cut-up mushrooms and 1/2 small zucchini, a spoonful of ricotta cheese, and some guda cut up and a handful of shredded parmesan cheese. Oh yeah and Jalapenos cut up of course.
After dinner I had 2 sinful cinnamon cakes. 1/1
I was just discussing w/Hubby how I feel like a totally different person now. I used to LOVE spaghetti. I would make a pot and eat a BIG plate, then have seconds of another 1/2 plate, then desert later. I didn't know it at the time - but I was killing myself. That's why I looked the way I did in my before picture.
Thanks for listening to me today. Lots of love to ya. And don't forget to check-in with us here every now and then, and please visit my friends blogs on the list below. S-U-P-P-O-R-T we need a song. :-)
This is PurpleRosy signing off...
My thought for the day:
Defeat
Being defeated is often only a temporary condition. Giving up is what makes it permanent.
Keep on BFC ' n :-)

I appreciate your thought for the day!
ReplyDeleteI agree. Rosie, why does your dinner have that much sugar? Is it the veggies? Still trying to learn.
Deleteyes the veggies, 1 for the cauliflower, 1 ea for the mushrooms and zucchini. :--)
DeleteTHANKS!!
DeleteIt's always better to guess up on the S/C then down.
DeleteThis weather is GORGEOUS! It's 76 degrees at the beach! I would love to walk with you, but unfortunately all I do is drive for work and pick up kids!!!! The only reason I know it is 76 at the beach is because I saw it on my car thermometer while I was driving from work to pick up kid #1. Gotta leave in 5 mins for kid #2! Sigh!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCarey
Hey Carey - let me know when and if you have time :-)
DeleteI do agree that we don't have to count calories, but we have to be reasonable about our expectations of weight loss if we eat too many. You seem to have a very good balance every day. I wish I ate 1/2 as healthy as you do! And I wished I lived closer so I could walk with you... and enjoy the sunshine!
ReplyDeleteYes Kay, that's why I said you have to look at the calories. and I wish - I wish you lived near me too. :-)
DeleteI think we are all so trained with the calories in, calories out way of thinking, it's hard not to think about them. When you are eating real food and not empty processes calories, I think you will automatically eat less calories because you are more satisfied and stay full longer.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right Beth :-)
ReplyDeleteI dont any attention to calories either and that is how I lost my weight. But I did think you mentioned that you watched calories with your S/C. All the apps seem to concentrate on calories, but My Fitness Pal lets you adjust the other nutrients to track sugar, carbs and fiber. It is funny though, it has some random calorie number Im not supposed to go over (1200 I think) and I go over it and the random fat number everyday. I just ignore it!
ReplyDeleteMy fitnesspal won't let you take the calories out of the foods you are tracking, but you can pretty easily ignore that column.
ReplyDeleteIn my experience, even if I am within my 15/6 S/C values I can no longer lose weight. I think it's because I like all the 'extras' too much - the butter, mayo, cheese, etc. And so, eventually the calories do matter. Maybe it's different when you are at the beginning of your weight loss journey, I'm not sure because I didn't start out with the BFC.
