Have a Great Thanksgiving :-)

Good Morning Friends,

I do feel a bit better today, but still coughing. I refused to take any type of liquid medicine like cough syrup. I have only been taking Alka Seltzer liqui-gels. Oh yeah - and yesterday I started my monthly so - Yeah me.

Yesterday I painted my nails again. I used black on the bottom and China Glaze gold shatter on the top.
I thought it would be good for thanksgiving. I plan on wearing my size 6 Vera Wang jeans and the leopard jacket I got a Kohls.

Hubby has been trying everyday to get me out of the house, but I just feel tired, headache (from coughing all day), so I thought it would be best to rest. But I had a coupon for buy 1 get 1 free at hometown buffet so we went. It's easy for me now to eat at a place like that. I have learned to control what I eat, and not be tempted to eat everything I see.

There is a girl that has worked there for many years and recognizes us all the time. She asked a long time ago how I was losing weight and I told her everything. Last night she was there and said to me "Girl you are disappearing on me. Don't lose any more." I told her that I am in the range of 145-150 right where I wanted to be and don't worry I won't lose too much.

It is nice to be recognized for all the hard work I have done, but is much more rewarding to share with others how I did it.

I just had a lovely breakfast of; 2 poached eggs (in my microwave thingy) 1/2 avocado, 2 turkey bacon, a carb chopper wheat tortilla w/cheese, and 8 blackberries.

Today I plan on baking some pumpkin coconut flour muffins (on recipe page) to take over for tomorrow. Hubby and I are going to his cousin Carla's house. I thought that would be something I could take over HOPEFULLY that others will like that is very low sugar. Fingers crossed.

I hope everyone has A great Thanksgiving tomorrow. Don't worry about what to eat or not to eat. Eat the good stuff and only a couple of bites of other stuff. You will do fine just don't over eat or feel left out because you are not eating what everyone else is.

Feel good about yourself and what you are trying to accomplish.

  2. You are always so creative with your nails! I let us know how the regular sugar eaters react to the muffins. I've given them to gluten free friends and they said they were fine. But I think you put in several packets of a stevia sweetener or xylitol, so maybe they won't even know! How cool would that be! Have a great turkey day!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
