From a size 20 to a size 6..

Good Morning Friends,

Well I am still not feeling that great but that didn't stop me from using my 30% off coupon yesterday. My Hubby has been telling me for at least a month to go and get some tight jeans. All mine are a size 10 from last year and are big now and I guess I have a saggy butt.

So that is one of the main reasons I went. I got a sweater and brought it home and realized I had the exact same thing I got last time I went shopping. See - there is my Middle-Heimer's. LOL so now I have to bring it back and get another color.

I got 2 packs each of underwear and socks for hubby and I got him a black tie. For some reason he said he didn't have a solid black one- HUH.

I got these cutie patootie slippers for me.
I am wearing them as we speak. Very warm.

So then I started looking for the jeans. I grabbed a size 8 and 6 (just in case) of Lees (cause I saw a commercial where it said they fit women great) and Vera Wang. Who would have thought I would ever fit into her stuff!

So I was in the dressing room, tried on the 8's and they were a bit loose so I tried on the 6 and they fit perfectly! So I said Wholy cow! or OMG! or something like that. And the girl in the dressing room next to me says; what mom? who was waiting outside her room for her.

So I said oh no it was me I said OMG! so I cam out and told them about being a size 20 just a little while ago and now fit into a 6. Well long story -short, I made a new friend. The mother is interested in the Belly Fat Cure and I gave her my blog info  and she friended me on FaceBook last night. She lives in Chino Hills near me and I told her I would help her if she wants it.

So Welcome Charlotte to our little group.

So I bought the 2 pairs of jeans and I could not resist this little beauty. You know me and my animal prints or anything purple.
I feels more like a furry soft blazer. But I can't believe how bad some companies sew now a days, one of the buttons fell right off. It's a good thing I sew. haha.

Amber made a comment yesterday to me that when I started I just wanted to be a size 10, and my sister made a comment (not so nice)   STOP already! I am going to have to commit you soon!
I think she is jealous cause I got smaller and now she got bigger than me. You know I've had lots of problems  with her. We keep bumping heads.

I know some of you are having a hard time. What ever plan you choose, whether it be The Belly Fat Cure (which I think is the best thing since sliced bread BTW) or
Weight Watchers (Sherri) click her name for her blog,
I want you to know that you are all welcome here and we all have the same goals.

We are here to support one another and help each other lose weight and get healthy. Cat has a blog (click here) and started off doing The BFC - but does not do the Belly Fat Cure anymore and has her own eating plan and made a post about it today.

This morning I was really in a peanut butter mood so I had: 2 Oasis toast w/butter and 1 gram of sugar peanut butter, turkey bacon, 6 blackberries and 2 eggs poached in my microwave thingy. My tummy is happy now.

I am watching the news about the occupy protests in LA right now. I really don't understand what they think they are accomplishing the past weeks. Camping for like a month and blocking the roads and rallying. What do they think is gonna happen when they do all this destruction??? People can't get to work or to a business they want to shop at???? Well Whatever..

Do you want to lose weight? If the answer is yes, then click join this blog above (and my friends blogs on the list below too) and start leaving comments. If you don't talk to us - we can't support and help you.

Thanks for listening to me today. Lots of love to you all.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

  2. Hi Rosalie. First off thanks for the FB tip. It bugs me that they do stuff like that. Thank goodness there are people out there that keep an eye on this stuff. Congrats on the size 6! That is quite a small size. You look sharp in your jacket, and I like the boots too. I am chugging along. I am just counting my sugar and carbs as always, and the little fat secret app on my phone and Ipad also watches those calories for me. I am just trying to be more aware when making a choice, and trying to chose the lower cal choice. I think I let my brain convince me that if it was no sugar or carbs, I could eat as much as I wanted. I can't! Hugs to you from me! XOXO PS DUH!!!! Changing the battery on the scale....now why didn't I think of that!! ;)Got a new battery today!

  3. I love your jacket--and your size 6! I would have done a happy dance for you outside of that changing room. I starting to look at clothes again--and it's fun!
... battery on the scale was changed this am too. I've had that scale for 6 yrs. and I hadn't even thought to turn it over to look for a battery! Thanks ladies-you're always opening my eyes.
    Enjoy your day-

  4. You look amazing! I am so happy for you. We wear the same size and I am 3 inches shorter than you are. My pants would probably be the perfect length for you.
You are a beacon of hope to many when they try this lifestyle!

  6. I am so proud of you Rosalie! You are looking so good and keeping it off! I know you're an inspiration to all of us out here. I especially like the maintenance support. It felt kinda weird at the beginning to start a blog and 'the end' of my weight loss journey, but I feel like this is where I need the most support - to stay *here* for the long haul! Keep spreading the word! Great job!

  7. Welcome, Charlotte! Rosalie is a huge source of support for many people. I'm glad you've joined us. :)

Rosalie, congratulations on your smaller pant size!!! So exciting! Your story reminds me why it's so important not to compare ourselves to each other. I weigh less than you, but wear a size 8/10 right now. I think I'm actually taller than you as well. Something like that could secretly frustrate me, but I know my body composition is just different than yours. That's why I don't go just by the scale; I also go by my pant size and how I feel/look in my clothes.

  9. I LOVE the outfits from Kohls!!!!!!! Super cute. I especially love that you made a new friend in the dressing room! Maybe I need to move to Chino Hills! Somehow I think the people there are friendlier than Newport! Ha! Anyhow, you are such an inspiration and now I feel competitive (I have no idea why because I'm not that competitive) to get/stay in a size 6 :) My work pants are a size 6, but my size 6 petites could be a smidge looser. I love buying regular size 6 because it's somewhat loose and makes me feel skinnier ;) Anyhow, I'm babbling. When we get together for lunch, we should invite Charlotte. That would be fun!

  10. You should be so proud of yourself! Who gets LOWER than their goal size? That is so rare! You are doing great in maintenance Rosalie! The smile on the after photo says it all. I totally remember when I was struggling in between 10/8s and you said "why be an 8, all I want is 10s" Ha!

I could never write about family members in my blog. They would be all mad at me :)

  11. You inspired me! :) I went to Kohl's and bought a cute ruffley gray sweater and some skinny jeans! YaaaaHooo! I"ve never worn skinny jeans because I thought my butt and thighs were too big so I wouldn't try them on! I finally tried some on and they look cute :)

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
