My Weekend.....

Hello Everyone,

I hope you all had a good and safe weekend. So I guess I will start with Saturday.

Hubby and 1 of his friends from work made plans to go movie hopping on Saturday. They said they were going to see 6 movies all day and sneak in to them all after paying for the first one of course. They acted like they were planning a heist or something. They wanted to go somewhere with food so they could eat in between.

For breakfast I had 2 eggs, w/sauted mushrooms and onions and cheese, sauted spinach, a few of each blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, and some cottage cheese, coffee, blah, blah, blah. S-6/C-1

So I went with them to the first one at 11:15 am: Transformers. Very good and long. I had some popcorn and during the last hour  I had a turkey roll up. (I wrap some turkey w/cheese in the middle in plastic wrap).
The next one was the Green lantern, I went w/them and had the other turkey roll up and some more popcorn.
The 3rd movie started at 5:05 pm and my sister Lisa met us there and we saw Larry Crowne w/Julia Roberts and Tom Hanks. Very good.

That was it for me - I was very tired and Lisa and I went to Chipotle and I had a salad w/lettuce, meat, cheese, sour cream, salsa. S-1/C-0

No walk Saturday - got home too late, I walked the next morning 3.3 miles.

Sunday: I ate 2 eggs, 1/2 avocado, 2 oasis bread w/butter and sugar free preserves, and the mixed berries again, coffee, blah, blah, blah.  S-5/C-1

Then Lisa and I went to the Sawdust Festival in Laguna Beach. It was 1hr and 15 min to get there. It was a lot of at stuff and food and music it was very fun. I ate 1/2 tuna sandwich on rye and we shared some fried veggies dipped in ranch.  S-3/C-1
Got home around 5 ish and went swimming, and hubby bbq'd some chicken breasts and we had a spinach salad with it.  and some RediWhip and 2 squares of Lindt 85%. S-3/C-0

Monday - July 4th:
This morning I felt very tired. Ate: 2 eggs, 1/2 avocado, mixed berries, 2 oasis toast w/butter and josephs sugar free peanut butter, coffee, blah, blah, blah.  S-5/C-1

Lunch: a chicken breast, then we went swimming and after I had a zevia soda and some veggie straws and pork rinds. S-1/C-2

We left and went to run some errands. Remember I have been getting my nails done for the past few months w/the gel? And remember the problem w/ my thumb, where it got infected about a month ago?? Well I decided to stop doing my nail all together. I can do my own toes now ( I can reach) LOL. and my nails are so thin and sensitive I have to try to heal them. They are supposed to soak off the gel before they put on new stuff. The girl soaks, then drills and my nails have had it. I am kind of pissed. They are too alzy and try to do it the fast way instead of the right way.

So I went to Ulta ( a cosmetic, all around chick stuff store), and got some acetone to soak off the gel and some stuff to put of them to try to make them strong again, and I got some Cheetah stickers to put on them after they heal for a few weeks. I think they should last 2 weeks and maybe it will help them from breaking as much.

Then we went to my favorite store, Kohls. I got 3 summer sleeveless dresses and a skirt. I can't believe that I just walked right into the Junior dept. and picked up size mediums and they looked awesome on me.

We went to Chilis and I had steak and shrimp and broccoli and a small cesar salad. I wound up giving 1/2 to
hubby, couldn't eat it all, had some RediWhip when I got home.  S-1/C-0

Well that was my weekend. I know may some of us did not eat that good this weekend. I don't want you to beat yourself up about it. Just let it roll off and start at the BFC again in the morning.

Thanks for listening my friends. Lots of love to all.

This is PurpleRosy signing off..............

My thought for the day:

Just As It Is

Mindfulness is the aware, balanced acceptance of the present experience. It isn't more complicated than that.It is opening to or receiving the present moment, pleasant or unpleasant, just as it is,without either clinging to it or rejecting it.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  2. Hi Roasalie! I feel like we have all been out of touch alittle with the holiday weekend. I have guests at my house and they are leaving today so things will get back to normal. I am still staying at the beach for the week, but I have had better eating weekends! Right back on track today though. Glad you finally got some time with family and friends and that hubby took some time off. Sounds like you had a lovely weekend, and as always you give me motivation. Take care!

  3. Rosalie, I forgot to tell you that I have been getting the gel on my nails for awhile now. My nails are so much stronger since I started doing the gel. My girl puts alittle cotton ball soaked with polish remover and then wraps a small piece of foil around to hold it in place. Then she uses an acrylic nail to gently pry off the gel. I have to admit I peel it off alot and they say that isn't good as it takes some of the nail with it. But I have been doing that when I can't get in to the nail place and my nails are fine. I also see that some places soak the fingertips in a small bowl of remover. In any event, don't let them take the shortcut and drill. That is the lazy way. There is a product that I really like called Rejuvecote. I bought it online. The nail place I used to go to recommended it to strengthen my nails and it really worked. But since I have been getting the gel, my nails are really strong. It was cheaper online so I bought it that way and use it still when I don't have the gel on.

  5. The weekend sounds lovely! I never got into getting my nails done - I have weak nails to start with, and always thought it would get worse if I tried to do anything with them.

I decided to go ahead and start a blog after all. So you can add me to your blog roll! http://dawnsdailychocolate.blogspot.com

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
