Happy Friday.....

Happy Friday to you all,

It was SOOOOO nice to have the Air conditioning fixed yesterday. I don't really use it every day. I like fresh air, but when it gets over 90 around here in Southern California (which happens most of the time in the summer) I like to turn it on sometimes, especially cause we live in a 2 story house now. It gets real hot upstairs. In the last 2 houses we have had, there was 2 A/C units. That was we could turn on the upstairs one only. This cheap ass house only has 1 small one. Oh well, at least its working now.

Remember the other day I told you that my son went to a Sober Living house? Well he called me up the next day (Wednesday) and asked me to come and give him a ride and if I could buy him a bus pass. $47 Yish!! First of all I was so hot and said no. I thought it is not helping him to keep doing stuff like that. But then I thought about it and told him yesterday I would meet him and pick him up to get him one. I did - cause I felt guilty and bad when I said no. You mothers know how I feel. But I thought if I get him the bus pass, then I know he would at least have a way to get around.

Yesterday I ate:
breakfast; quinoa, w/ a little each of mushroom, onion, zuchinni, chicken bullion, 2 scrambled eggs all in a bowl together, and mixed berries. with coffee, blah, blah, blah.  S-5/C-1

lunch; a salad at chipotles of: lettuce, black beans, carnitas (pork), sour cream, guacamole, cheese and salsa.  S-2/C-1

snack; a zevia and almonds.  S-0/C-1

dinner; we went to hubby's favorite place - Applebees, had a steak and broccoli and zuchinni, a a few bites of boneless buffalo wings.  S-2/C-1

So here is a copy of a video that my step-daughter is in. She is a dancer and is in Europe w/Jason Derulo right now.  Just wanted to share.

So hubby is working at the FD the next 4 nights in a row. You know what that means.... I don't have to share the bed... Woo Hoo!!  Haha. 
No really I do get lonely when he works nights. but we have to eat somehow, since I don't work - right?

Not much else to say today, except:

Don't Give up!!  Keep on doing what you are doing and the weight has no where to go but off!!  And my absolute Favorite one that I always say:.............
If I Can Do It - So Can YOU!!!!!

Do you tend to take yourself very seriously? Does everything really have to be a big deal? We can all learn to relax and provide ourselves space to just be – to be at ease, to feel calm and to enjoy the simple pleasures of everyday life.
It’s summertime, go out and have a some fun! Let the inner child out to play and see how that makes you feel.

  2. I would get lonely if my hubby was gone 4 nights a week - but at least you're sleeping! lOL

    I love your thought for the day - I think sometimes we do get too wrapped up in the to do list for the day that sometimes we forget to have fun. At least I sure do!

    I'm so inspired by your blog. I dabbled with the BFC last summer then switched over to the Fast Track until Thanksgiving when everything fell apart. I got sucked in by how much more quickly I slimmed down with Fast Track, but don't know if I can do it long term. I once again have a lot of weight to lose. My BF invited me to get in shape with him. I'm excited and feel this is the time. I'm also a little freaked out because I've also been invited by the president of my company to a high end corporate gym membership with a trainer. I'm really nervous because when I exercise too much, I feel like I'm starving and eat way too much.

    Anyway, I was wondering if you ever tried the Fast Track and if you did, what did you think versus BFC. I was rarely hungry on FT but food choices were very limiting.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
