Keep on BFC ' n :-)

Hello to all my fellow BFC'rs,

It was great weather today and I am sorry for those of you that are having a lot of rain. :-( All I can say is - come and visit. :-)

Yesterday I went to my girl and she waxed my underarms and legs. I am all smooth now...... I decided to do my own pedi from now on. I mean - come on its $30 for crying out loud. So I got some crackle polish and did it myself and I think it looks very cool. A very light purple underneath and black crackle on top.



Today I went to visit my son in rehab again. He seems to be doing better but is in tremendous pain because of his back. I took his Ex with me and the 3 of us had a nice visit. He asked me to come back on Monday eve for family night, I said I will be there.

Hubby is working a lot - and I am feeling a bit alone. I know it's stupid, but I don't work and it gets lonely when you have no friends to hang out with. But at least I have my 2 dogs, Mandy and Peaches. Boy if it wasn't for them I don't know what I would do. They always sit and smile at me and make me walk every day - whether I am in the mood or not. They just stare at me until I give in.

What I ate:
breakfast;
Saturday; 2 eggs, smart and delicious wheat tortilla w/cheese, 2 turkey bacon, blackberries.
Sunday; smart and delicious wheat tortilla w/cheese, sauted zuchinni, 1 egg, handful of sausage crumbles, blackberries.
lunch;
Saturday; sandwich made w/2 Oasis bread, cheese, mustard, hummus, and grilled bologna and a spinach salad.
Sunday;salad w/chicken, cheese, sour cream, guac., and about 6 tortilla chips and salsa.
dinner;
Saturday;chicken, 6 brussel sprouts, brocolli, and about 2 spoons of pesto sauce,  and 2 squares of Lindt 85% dark chocolate.
Sunday: buffalo wings and spinach salad, and rediwhip and 2 squares of Lindt 85% dark chocolate.
snack: both days I had a handful of nuts.

Diana, I am so glad you decided to try the Reslina, don't know why the coupon code should have worked.
Jorge's new book is supposed to come out in January the email said.

I just want to say that even when I feel a bit lonely, like today - I didn't emotional eat. At times I feel like I want to - but it's not even in my DNA anymore. Hah - isn't that's something....

    Thank you for always keeping me honest and on my toes:) You are a great inspiration to all of us! I just ate some berries just for you:) I did not buy bananas!
    I know what it is like to have your husband gone a lot. Do you bowl? Is there a women's league that you could try? There are probably a lot of women that would love having a friend to hang out with. I'll take your pool!

    Your toes look great!

    A ggod way to meet people is thru meet-up.com . I didn't know anyone here 2 years agao and meet-up helped me a lot. They have many groups of interest. You could even start your own group, I bet a weight loss daytime group would be great for you.

    My BFC is not going well, I have 0 discipline at night, so the scale hasn't moved, lol

    I'm a little down today since it is my weigh in my starting weight was 189 2nd week 186 im on my 3rd week and weighed in at 187.4 this morning is this normal? I feel a little discouraged but will keep going im not looking back...

  7. Rosalie, you are a dear for sending some people over to follow my blog. It's boring compared to yours, but it's nice to get some feedback. I was so excited when I saw your comment, my first. Since then I have a few more. I told Katy that I am having some trouble posting comments too. I actually googled that and found a blog that's current post dealt with all the problems people are having posting. Maybe that's why some of your comments have dropped off.

    I think your toes look great. I did mine this weekend too. I have to try the underarm waxing. My place is alittle cheaper $25, and if you get the gel manicure and a pedicure, then they do both for $42. Plus they have alittle card they stamp and every fifth visit you get $5 off.Not bad right!

    I hope things are going better with your son. It's so hard when someone we love is hurting. Have you had him talk to a doctor about back injections. My husband is a pain management physician. He doesn't prescribe medications, but performs interventional procedures for all sorts of pain. I have seen many people get excellent results with these procedures and insurance does cover them. Anyway, you are sticking by him and that's what he needs most right now.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
