Sunday of week 25: The Belly Fat Cure

Yesterday we went to my old neighbor's house. They were having an outside party for their 1 year old's birthday. They had tents up, but it was still so hot. Of course there was not much Belly Good food to eat. They had a guy making tacos, so I got some meat and put some green salsa and sour cream on top with 1 small  corn tortilla. Then I saw some black olives and took a couple of those. Not much else I could eat. Then I saw some spinach dip and took some of that and 1 coors light beer.

It's always hard when we have to go to events like that. One of the first things they did was try to get me to drink one of those fruity adult drinks. In the past I always drank those, but I said no of course. It always seems to hurt their feelings. Like they bought them all just for me or something. I seriously doubt it though.

Then I woke up this morning and I was 1.5 lbs heavier then I have been the past few days. Of course I am very dramatic about that now a days. My hubby thinks it very comical I guess. He looked at me this morning and said "what's wrong". I said I am back up to 189.5 again. He just looked at me and laughed and said " AWW that's no big deal". Yeah well he's right. I might even be back to 188 again in the morning.

Anybody else been to any of those summer parties lately?? What did you eat??

Thanks for listening. Love to all of my BFC friends. Please leave your comments.

My thought for the day. The difference between try and triumph is a little umph.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  2. I went to a party yest, I had a hamburger with blue cheese (no bun), salad, and a small amt of fruit salad (I mean like just a few berries). I did eat a bite of my husband's chocolate chip cookie, I was starvin..but that's all I ate! U did great at ur party! u probably could of made a big taco salad? The fruit drinks will kill u, so much sugar. Anyhow, that said, I'm down another lb..YIPEE - 11 and counting. Slow as mollasis (sp?) but goin in the right direction. And husbands always think we r dramatic, don't they :) LOL Blessings to u.

  3. Drinks are always the hardest thing for me to remember. A cookie is obviously full of sugar, but I can down half of a cocktail without even thinking for a second about what kinds of carby mixes are in it. I'm really impressed by your willpower.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
