Monday Starting week 26: The Belly Fat Cure.

So this morning I seemed to be up in weight a little. It's just a 1/2 lb from last week, but now I'm back down to 49 lbs lost instead of 50. 50 just sounded better. I'm sure I will pass that in no time. I am a bit bummed, but   I'm not gonna let it get me down. I had to eat kind of late the past few nights around 8-8:30. That's real late for me - I always try to finish eating by 7pm. That might have something to do with it.

I got to go swimming in the pool yesterday and today. It is so nice. I love it! Anyone who lives near me is invited over for a swim. :-)

For breakfast I had 2 fried eggs with a pita toasted with cream cheese and Nature's Hollow sugar free preserves on it, with 5 blackberries and my usual 2 cups of coffee w/truvia, cinnamon and Metamucil.

Fro lunch today I had delicious stir fry veggies: mushrooms, onions, zuchinni, baby bok choy and tofu and shirataki noodles flavored with  curry, Braggs Amino Acids and a little corn starch with. I really love this dish. It is so healthy and flavorful.

Just cut up tofu in bite sized pieces and make a marinade with 2 spoons of curry, 1 spoon of corn starch, and some Braggs. Mix together and let sit. Meanwhile stir fry your veggies in some olive oil. When just about done add the shirataki noodles that have been rinsed real good. Then add the tofu mixture with the curry sauce. stir fry all together. You might need to add a little water. Enjoy!

I went to Henry's market this afternoon and was looking to buy some more Zevia soda. I found 2 different kinds of soda that was sweetened with stevia. Here they are.
Virgil's has only a couple of carbs and Blue Sky has about 11-12 carbs. And they were cheaper than Zevia.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
