Turkey Chili
2 lbs of ground turkey
small yellow onion
4 cloves of garlic
2 small serano peppers
3 stalks of celery
1 zuchinni cut up
4 mushrooms cut up
2 small cans of green chilis (no sugar)
2 cans of white northern beans (no sugar)
1/3 jar of seeds of change - romagna 3 cheese pasta sauce
chili powder
cumin
chicken bullion and water (I had no chicken broth)
I cooked it all up and let it simmer for a couple hours to let the flavors mingle.
I also steamed a head of cauliflower and shredded it in my food processor.
I put about 1/2 cup of the cauliflower in the bottom of the bowl with about 1 cup of chili.
I figure it is about 2 sugars and 1 carb per bowl. Or 1 sugar w/o the cauliflower.

I made a chili w/1lb of ground turkey, onion, mushroom, celery, cut up asparagus, garlic, green chilis, some seeds of change pasta sauce, cumin, chili powder, cayenne pepper, chicken bullion. I think thats everything I put in there, with a tiny bit of brown rice on the bottom and sour cream. |

Chili:
Here is a recipe given to me by Cindi:
She writes: I am someone who loves to make Chili for my family, but had to come up with a Belly Good version. I thought I would share it with all of you. It ends up being at 3/1 and about 167 calories per serving.
(1) Package of Extra Lean Jennie-O Ground Turkey
(1) cup of diced green bell pepper
(1) cup of diced yellow onion
(2) cloves of minced garlic
(1) whole jalapeno diced
Brown the turkey with a little Salt & Pepper, then add the pepper, onion, garlic, and jalapeno. Cook on medium for about 10-minutes to soften veggies.
Add in:
(1) cup diced red tomato (not canned)
(1) cup Goya black beans
(1) tbsp chili powder
1/4 cup of low sodium chicken broth
Let simmer on stove on low heat for 15-20 minutes and enjoy.
1 serving = approximately 7oz.
It may seem odd to some of you, but since I do not use canned diced tomatoes which have more sugar - if I need the sweetness, I will sprinkle a little Purevia on my chili before eating.
