I am Loving Eating Healthy...

Hello Friends,

How is everyone doing on your Health Adventure? I know some of you are having cold weather and even snow already, but I'm gonna brag and tell you its supposed to be 85-89 and sunny and clear over here today. I really love living over here. I love the horse trails and all the nature.

As many of you might have noticed, I am not blogging that much anymore. I used to blog every day. I really don't see the point now. In the beginning when I started this blog - for ME, So many people started off on the BFC like me, but only the chosen few stay. Maybe like 20% or even less can actually do it.

I have no idea why?? It is the easiest and healthiest way I have ever ate in my life. I can continue to keep eating the same way and keep my weight right where I want it to stay.

I had a ton more viewers back then than I do now. Even though I have a lot of followers, I don't hardly get that many hits or comments any more.

I guess that means there is little to no interest. It is a bit discouraging for me. I blog NOW only for YOU, not for me. I get nothing in return except the knowledge that I might have helped just one person to get healthy. To help teach others what I have learned along my journey.

So I will just blog like once a week and continue to post recipes as I try new ones like I do now. If anyone needs any help or gets stuck - private message me on FaceBook or email me. I WILL answer.

I hope you are enjoying the recipes I have been posting - I know I have. I wind up eating 90% of every sweet goodie I make by myself, so I freeze some and pleasantly find it later on.

When I sit down at the computer each day you are the first site I turn on. even before the emails :) I will miss your daily wisdom,,, I keep trying and keep on failing,,,,You keep me motivated,,, to keep on trying,,,, I made the lemon/raspberry scones 4 days ago,,, they are gone since my son and I each had 1 a day ,,,so good,,, I just printed the pumpkin poppers I know we will enjoy them two. Thanks for all the goodies you printed for all of us. I read the face book sometimes but I really don't understand how to communicate on it "hits?" Thanking you

  3. It's weird that I don't get notifications when you have a new post up. I just came on today and saw this one. I hope you never stop because I love hearing from you. I am kind of blogged out these days. I don't have much to say and probably no one is reading anyway. I am going to post when I try new things. Loving the pumpkin scones by the way. This morning I made the baked eggs and cheddar biscuits from gourmetgirlcooks.com. I like her site, She was low carb, but now is grain and wheat free. I keep trying. I don't lose much. they just changed my thyroid meds again. I am off sugar, rarely eat wheat, and keep very low carb but just can't get out of the 175-78 range. That's down about 10 -12 lbs from where I started but I want to go lower. It's almost like my body is set here. Plus I still have a problem with giving up my wine. I swear with all the other stuff I have given up it should be easier. Maybe I eat too many healthy treats. I try to have only one or two a day, but maybe that's too much until I lose more. I'm staying with the plan though. I am feeling healthier and looking better and there are so many other benefits to getting the junk and crap out of my life. Take care and enjoy that sunshine. Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
