Saturday of week 38: The Belly Fat Cure

You know, one of the reasons that I have lost as much weight as I have so far, is that I never gave up and I never quit! Even when I thought - this is not working, I never stopped. Because I knew it was way healthier for me and I thought - maybe if I do it just a little longer, it will keep working.

I know it does get a bit  boring at times, eating the same stuff all the time. But I am eating things that I like and that is very important. If you follow the BFC righteously and DON"T CHEAT! It WILL WORK! If you feel you need another snack, eat something that is belly good for you. I eat clemmys  after lunch sometimes. I was so used to eating sweets all the time, I still get the urge a lot. Or I will eat a few Josephs sugar free cookies, or of course 2 squares of 85% dark chocolate.

I am telling you this stuff because today I am down to 170.5 lbs. That's 3 lbs less than yesterday. All I do is the same thing everyday. We all have bad days sometimes on the BFC. The trick is to keep doing it. My weight seems to go down then back up then down again, now that I am in the later stages of the Belly Fat Cure.

I know its difficult at times, but try real hard not to cheat! You absolutely don't need to give up all your grain carbs. I eat anywhere from 1-4 a day depending on my mood. I feel that if I still eat some everyday, I will have a better chance of winning this Fat Battle we all have.

I AM GONNA WIN THE FAT BATTLE!

Who's with me?????

Yesterday Beechy asked about how much fiber I take in a day:
I usually use the clear metamucil in the morning in my coffee 1 time and then in the afternoon between lunch and dinner I use the super seed with water. That usually does the trick - but I am gonna start using the benifiber in the morning and see if I get better results. They are both made with different ingredients. :-)

We are Team BFC Club and our motto is: WE CAN DO THIS!!

Thanks for listening. Lots of love to all of my BFC friends. Please leave your comments.

My thought for the day:
One Positive Thought

It takes but one positive thought, when given a chance to survive and thrive, to overpower an entire army of negative thoughts.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. Hi Rosalie
I'm down to 234 this week. I've been on BFC for 9 weeks and have only lost 7 pounds but I'm not giving up either! I was stalled at 235 for 3 weeks but this week I bought some GG Crispbreads at Whole Foods, and upping my fiber seemed to help. Go team BFC club!!!

  2. Morning Rosalie,
Congrats on those pounds and sticking to your goal. Seeing this from you, always encourages me to keep going. I'm still holding at 172.6, and can't wait to drop under the bar, and be in the 60's range. It's been about 4 years since I've seen those numbers! Well here we come!

  4. Wow Rosalie congrats on the weight loss. You are almost in the 160's that has to feel great. We had family game night and I served taco's since I knew it was BFC friendly. I wanted to stay on plan and not feel that I could enjoy everything the family was eating and I did it. We can make great choices on the plan and not feel deprived.

  5. Way to go...i too will not give up on this plan because i plan on doing it the rest of my life!! It's been almost nine months for me and i've lost 40lbs!! I tend to be up and down like you too, but i don't get discouraged because i know it will change and it has. I just recently got into the 160 range and can't be more happy, it's been a long time for me. It took about a month or so but i'm there. Please everyone don't give up, think of all the food you do get to eat and how good you feel!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
