Had a fun Thanksgiving...

Good Morning Friends,

I sure hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving day with some loved ones. Hubby was off yesterday and we had a great time. We went to his Aunt Baby's house who is gonna be 93 by the way. Her daughter, Hubby's cousin Carla cooked for us. I think there was maybe 18 of us. A nice small group compared to most of Hubby's family things.
My Hubby takes the WORST pictures - Seriously! My eyes are closed.
I made a batch of Pumpkin Poppers to bring over and they were a BIG HIT! Surprise - They LOVED them. I always hesitate to bring my healthy stuff anywhere because - well - lets face it - most people just don't eat the way I do.

Our famous lil superstar was there. She's been on SNL, American music awards and last night the Muppet special with GAGA in the past 2 weeks. Her boyfriend Mike came in to say hi but had to go to his family's house.

 Us 5 girls did this 250 pc puzzle in like 1 hour - WOO - Team work and fun.
 So to my surprise cousin Carla told me she has been going wheat free, dairy free and even meat free. I am very proud of her. A little too mush for me cause I love my dairy and meat - but she is doing great.

She is the one that I have been crocheting the stuff for the seniors for. I gave her the 2 shawls and a Infinity scarf I made and in return she gave me a bag of more yarn and said I ave like 25 more days. LOL


This is the scarf - it is done real long and made in a big loop to wrap around 1, 2 or 3 times lots of ways.

Anyway - NO shopping for me today  - well maybe not. We shall see - the day is young.

Oh BTW I think the vertigo is 80% gone but I don't want to jinx it.

AND no matter what or how much you ate yesterday - just jump right back in and keep eating healthy today. NO WEEKEND BREAKS...

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
