Happy Halloween. I hope those of you that have kids and are going Trick-or-Treating, will be Warm, Safe and most of all have fun.
Since I recently moved to this new area over 4 months ago - I have no idea how many kids will come. I really didn't know how much stuff to get. If you remember last year and the year before I passed out bags of Pirates Booty. The kids LOVED it!! Since I got healthy I don't like passing out candy.
However this year at Sams Club they did not have it at all... DANG! So this is what I chose.
The Cookies if left over will go too Hubby - You know I would never eat any of this stuff anyways. Maybe the cheez-its. Oh well - here's to hoping I run out.
Yesterday I took the furry girls to the groomer. Mandy and Olive got a bath - but Peaches got a hair cut. They are so soft and shiny now, and we never realized how white the fur was on Olive - LOL.
A few days ago I took Mandy to the vet for her limping problem. I had already got some glucosamine stuff at PetsMart a few weeks ago. It helped a little, but not much. I had to leave Mandy at the vet for a few hours so he could sedate her and take x-rays and she broke my heart crying and barking for me. The x-rays turned out fine - as I thought. The vet gave me Rimadyl 100 mg to give Mandy 1/2 pill twice a day. I seems to help a little - but we shall see. I am still giving her the glucosamine stuff also and Peaches. She's older and she likes it more anyway.
My breakfast yesterday was some waffles from the freezer I made before.
For lunch Hubby and I were out and at at this Mediterranean grill near us. We had a pita, his was chicken and mine was beef and lamb. we had some hummus dip with pitas also. I asked to see the wrapper of the pitas before I ordered. It had 0 sugar and 29 carbs - so I could only eat the one, not the ones with the dip. It was a nice change from burgers wrapped in lettuce.
my snack was a chocolate-biscotti I made.
Dinner was a spinach salad and later I ate the last 2 cookies I made last week made with the chick peas.
Breakfast this morning was a muffin I made with just some cinnamon inside and my homemade coconut butter on top.
Hubby is working tonight - so Like every Halloween I am passing the treats Solo. The weather is supposed to be 79 today and sunny and clear.
Don't Hate.......

ReplyDeleteI sure hope the meds make Mandy feel better soon. Sucks getting old for dogs as well as humans :(
Thanks for posting your food and pics! Everything looks great as always. You ARE the best!
Blessings and Hugs,
Linda in Western NC :)
61 and very rainy here. Some towns are postponing trick or treating until the weekend when the weather forecast is better. Happy Halloween to you!
ReplyDeleteIt's sunny and beautiful here, but cold! I'm happy that you have nice weather:) We have about 300 pieces of candy and are about 1/2 done. It is expensive!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great night!
Hope it was a good night. As you know I went out and left a basket for the kids long with a note. I will try those cheddar biscuits later. I'm realizing that I'm eating too many healthy treats and baked goods. So I'm trying to stay away for awhile. Hope all is well! XO!
