Lets see - I haven't posted in a few days. There has been little activity here. Not much going on over here.
My breakfast yesterday was pancakes made with 1/4 cup of rolled oats, 1 tb chia seeds, 1 scoop of strawberry protein powder and 2 eggs, with Natures hollow jam on top, some berries and turkey bacon.
Lunch was shirataki noodles, tuna, avocado, some pesto-alfredo sauce and onion crunch.
My dinner was a spinach salad and chicken wings.
I finished this yesterday and posted this pic on Facebook but I'll share with you in case you didn't see.
One more sewing project done...
We have this interesting Leaded glass window in the living room of our new house. Its nice but lets in a ton of too much afternoon light. The previous owner had some sheer gold material draped back and forth and pinned to the wall. I thought it looked stupid. She said do you want the material - I said no but kept it and washed it and VIOLA!! I made some sheers with it and used a tension rod and it looks AWESOME if I do say so myself. Lets in just the right amount of light and makes the room have a slight golden hue.
Today I went to El Pollo Loco for lunch and asked them if they could sub the chicken on a cobb salad and put the Carnitas meat instead. It was great - BTW
So we have like a zillion rocks and weeds in the back that we need to clean out somehow - remember? Hubby and I were back there talking about it and We both saw a coyote run down the horse trail that is directly behind our house and he leaped over the block wall of the house behind ours - like it was easy breezy - nothing. In the middle of the afternoon - BTW.
So now we know we have to do something to secure the fencing fast.
I told Hubby I'm gonna take some pictures of the rocks and post a ad on Craigslist saying FREE ROCKS so we will have less to pay someone to take them away.
Dinner tonight was a spinach salad and a little spinach and turkey. Desert was some RediWhip and a few raspberries.
I have been trying to unpack more boxes everyday. I might try to hang some pictures tomorrow, that and nic-nacs are last on my list.
Have a great day. This is PurpleRosy signing off...
Keep on BFC ' n :-)

Yikes! It sounds like you either need a coyote-proof fence or a run for your doggies! Here's some interesting info: http://blog.adoptapet.com/keep-your-pets-safe-from-coyotes/
ReplyDeleteHa - the "coyote-roller" fence kind of cracks me up.
Good luck with the rocks!
Wow, that's scary about the coyote. Would they go after humans or are they afraid? Be careful! Love the add about the rocks. So smart of you. You get the rocks cleaned out for free!!!! Love the drapes. Wish I was handy like you! XO!
ReplyDeleteI'd have jumped on some free rocks, at least, large-ish ones. Yes. I love free! But mostly I need some bigger rocks for a rock/flower garden and I refuse to pay for them. So it has been a very slow process of enlarging the garden. I've been known to stop on a country road and chuck a cantaloupe sized rock onto my backseat - ha ha. Really, I was doing the people that drove that road regularly a favor, saved them from blowing a tire or going in the ditch. Craigslist and Freecycle have been great as means to unload some of our own junk, especially after a garage sale.
ReplyDeleteIf we lived close I would be there in a flash to get some rocks! Love the big ones...actually love them all. Kind of pebbly looking, love how smooth they are! So cool that you are getting some hauled away for FREE! Good thinking! Great job on the sheers...and everything!

I hope those coyotes are long gone & never come back ! Good idea about the CL ad, people like free. I have been known to find some rocks along the way & use them in my flower beds or as a border. Your curtains look great BTW ! :)
ReplyDeleteI would look into the coyote fence/roller! What do your neighbors do? Do coyotes not bother the horses?
ReplyDeleteAwesome about the rocks, not so much about the coyotes. Hope you don't see much of them...
ReplyDeleteYour house is looking great, what a good idea to put an ad on CL for "free rocks". I love your determination in making it just the way that you want it.
