Start thinking Logical...

Hello Friends,

Well Yesterday (1/23/15) was my son's birthday. If you didn't know, he passed over 2 years ago and would have been 30. I stayed away from Facebook cause I kept seeing a bunch of pictures and posts about him. Besides I was at work anyway. I was a little emotional but just tried to stay real busy - which was not hard.

Hubby took me out to dinner last night - being nice and on the way home we witnessed a little black dog get ran over from the SUV right in front of us... OMG! It was horrible and can't get that vision out of my head. It was not their fault - but .... COME ON PEOPLE!!! Keep you fences secure and Keep your PETS SAFE!!!

We were both MORTIFIED!!

OK - so About a week or so ago a Facebook friend posted to me and commented that I am probably the only one that started with the Original BFC and lost a bunch of weight and have kept it off.

Its been 5 years for me since I started eating healthy and tried to lose weight. It took me a whole year to lose all my weight. I know now that this is now a race. When people post that if you try this diet or product and it will help you lose 5-10 lbs a week............ Well come on now - That is not HEALTHY.

Just FYI - there is no pill or diet aid product that will work. You have to work at this. It will push you to your limits. I have said this MANY TIMES - It is all in your HEAD!!

A lot of this is psychological - mental... I'm not calling you crazy, but you MUST change your whole way of thinking about what you think is the way to lose weight and learn to just eat HEALTHY...

Start thinking Logical... 
You can't keep eating so many processed or Junk foods.
Stop eating the wrong carbs.
Stop eating artificial sweeteners.
Stop drinking fruit juices and sodas.
Stop counting calories - that doesn't work and you are gonna get tired of doing that and quit.
Start eating more REAL food.
Eat at home more.

Its all about the Sugar and Carbs in the foods that we eat.  PERIOD

I worked so hard to look like this now and feel like a whole different person - I would NEVER allow that weight to come back - PERIOD

I will always eat healthy, but the difference is that now I know how to control my eating when I am around "regular" eating people or when we are out.

It will always be a struggle - but I am willing to keep fighting that fight.

  1. I was just reading a post today that most of the biggest loser winners have gained all their weight back and that's why they don't do reunion shows. Sad.
    You should be very proud of what you accomplished! You are truly a success story. I truly believe this program is something we can do forever, and just small changes bring results. I am not back down to my lowest weight, but I am at a "happy" weight...I am a true medium....would I like to be a small??? Yes, but healthy is good too.
    I'm sorry about the anniversary of your son's death. I can't even wrap my head around the sorrow you must feel. The dog story is awful.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
