Good Morning Folks and happy 3-day weekend to Ya,
I am so looking forward to having 3 days off in a row. Remember I used to complain that I was bored when I didn't work? But I am SO grateful to have a job - any kind of job so I can help contribute to the bills now.
SO - what are you all doing this weekend???
We don't have really any plans. Hubby is working nights this weekend at the FD so - that's OK I don't mind being home.
Whatever you do this weekend, remember that just because its a holiday doesn't mean that is a green light to eat whatever you want. Do like I have always done and pick 1 thing that you really love and miss and just have a few bites.
For those of you that are new to dieting or trying to be healthy, I just want to give you a tip that might help.
If you are a CARB or SWEET lover, whichever one is you - the worst thing you can do is to try to avoid them altogether by only eating fast track or just meat and veggies king of eating.
Trust me - that will only tide you over for a little bit, but then you will VERY tempted every time you are around those foods that you love and you will give in and cheat a lot faster.
The trick to being strong around those foods that you used to love is to make sure to include the healthy versions of them in your new Healthy eating every day. There are lots of healthy recipes I have accumulated on here to help you with that.
Try eating carbs one day then not the next - that's a good way to try to lose some weight. And don't keep eating the same thing all the time. Change up every day. Just because you have a favorite healthy breakfast, Don't keep eating it EVERY DAY!!
Use your head, don't just blindly listen to other people (me included). Do your own research and make sure something is healthy before you eat it. Read labels, look at ingredients and learn how to look food up yourself to find out the S/C in everything before you eat it. STOP asking other people - that will not help YOU!
A good site to do that is: http://www.nutritiondata.com/
I hope you all have a GREAT weekend - This is PurpleRosy signing off...
Keep on BFC ' n :-)

Some tips if you are having trouble
- First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
- Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
- Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
- Make sure you drink lots of water.
- Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
- Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
- Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
- Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
I hope this helps.
