Hello Friends,
How's you week been? It's very different for me now that I work. I was used to being at home all the time and cleaned whenever I wanted and made my treats for the week whenever I wanted. But now I only have the weekends. How did I ever do this when the kids were little?? LOL
Friday after work Hubby and I went to Chilis and sat in the bar for happy hour. I had 1 glass of Cabernet Sav, some buffalo wings dipped in blue cheese dressing, spinach artichoke dip with celery, a few chips and salsa - maybe 5, and 2 of hubby's chicken nachos off his plate. It was good after a long day.
Saturday morning we had a appointment to wrap up our taxes at 10, after we went to eat breakfast - but it was lunchtime at a restaurant in Glendora with my boss and his wife. I ordered a omelet with potatoes. I ate like 1/3 of the omelet and a few bites of the potatoes and 2 strawberries.
After that on the way home we decided to go to see Captain America. We both love all those movies. It was good and I had popcorn.
No dinner for me too much popcorn. I drank a cup of Valerian root tea that a friend gave me. It's supposed to help with sleep. I think it did a little.
SO-This morning Hubby was being REAL NICE for some reason... He started dusting for me. He had 2 swiffers - one in each hand going all around the house. Then he actually put in a load of laundry in the washing machine... Then he asked me how to use the Vacuum??? And actually Vacuumed... REALLY!! OK- What the HECK did he do wrong?? LOL
This was my breakfast this morning. I have been on a Pumpkin waffle kick all this week... I make the batter in a bowl like a muffin then pour the batter in the waffle maker. I like the texture better this way. Easy Peasy...
I put cream cheese and Nature's Hollow on top of this one and ate a little pc of omelet left over from yesterday.
Individual Pumpkin Waffle:
ingredients:
1 (heaping) tbsp of coconut oil and pumpkin puree in a bowl and melt in microwave.
add: 1 tbsp of each; chia seeds, flaxseed, almond flour, coconut flour - mix well.
a couple shakes of ea: cinnamon, allspice, ground cloves, pumpkin pie spice - a little bit of vanilla extract, 8 drops of vanilla stevia, 1/2 tsp or less of baking powder. MIX well.
Then add 1 egg and mix well and pur the batter into you heated waffle maker.
Makes 1 perfect Healthy waffle... Your Welcome - ENJOY!
Gonna go clean the bathrooms and take my furry kids for a walk. I've been going for at least 2 miles every day and missed yesterday. Maybe twice today - who knows.
Have a great rest of the weekend.
This is PurpleRosy signing off...
Keep on BFC ' n :-)

Some tips if you are having trouble
- First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
- Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
- Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
- Make sure you drink lots of water.
- Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
- Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
- Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
- Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
I hope this helps.

ReplyDeleteGreat blog as always! :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, the Valerian root you took for sleep is supposed to help with Essential Tremors as well. I'm hoping it's a "win-win" for you. :)
Hugs For You,

Hi girlfriend Just want to say first off that I am usually reading your blog in bed on my ipad or iphone. Several times I tried to leave a message and then I lose the message. Maybe I'm not signed in properly to google, I'm not sure. Anyway, love reading your blog as always and I hope you never stop. You have words that resonate with people and make a difference. I'm feeling like I have nothing to say these days. I'm still losing....oh so slowly, but you know I have all the thyroid stuff going on, so I'm not giving up. Love that hubby pitched in to do the housework. You deserve a break!! XO!!
ReplyDeleteHappy to see you blog anytime :)
