Good Morning,
Please be seated - CLASS is in session...
This weekend was one of those lesson-thingy's I am always trying to teach you.
Once we start eating HEALTHY - there is no going back to the way we ate before. EVER! If we do, we will look the way we did before. PERIOD!
Friday night Hubby and I went out to dinner, I mentioned on the last post. First - we ate real late, well at least for me - 8pm. I always try to be done by 7 not start at 8. So that kind of threw me off a bit.
I had a buffalo chicken salad, which was (fattening) but not all that bad, and glass of merlot, still not too awful - then a few bites of hubby's desert.
So in the morning on Saturday I weighed 150 - up 2lbs - still not too bad. I can get that off in 1 day - no problem.
Saturday evening my son Matthew and his girlfriend took me out to dinner at this place I picked called Gyu-KaKu. I was looking online for restaurants near Rancho Cucamonga where we live and it popped up. It looked really cool. There are grills in the middle of the table to cook your meat and there are several courses.
So WAY too much meat, a few bites of rice, and a few bites of noodles from a soup, AND a few appetizers, and of course 2 glasses of red wine - then they give you marshmallows and graham crackers and chocolate for a smore at the end...
It was AMAZING and fun, but I woke up yesterday morning at 154 - are you counting?? That's 6lbs over my low of 148 that I continue to stay at. YISH!
Well yesterday I tried to watch what I ate and this morning I am back down to 152 - 4 more to go.
This is also one of the main reasons I weigh myself EVERY single day and night! After all this hard work I have done to ME, How will I ever know if I screw up if I don't stay accountable. If I had waited until once a week or more like some people do - who knows how many pounds I would have gone up?? 10-15??
OK - class is over....
Have a great day...
Oh yeah - still no furry girl yet...
This is PurpleRosy signing off...
Keep on BFC ' n :-)

Some tips if you are having trouble
- First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
- Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
- Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
- Make sure you drink lots of water.
- Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
- Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
- Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
- Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
I hope this helps.

ReplyDeleteSee, this is why I miss your blog all the time! I can tell you for 100% certainty that weighing every day is a must do. When I quit weighing, it's because I know I won't like what I see and then all of a sudden....13 lbs:( You are my role model!
ReplyDeleteI love this and agree. Got to keep track..so there are no surprises. Whenever anyone says they are not going to be a slave to the scale anymore..I know they will be in for a big surprise..Good job Rosalie, like the lesson served..to remind me of what to serve. Marjie
