How is everyone doing on the BFC? Is there any problems that you are having and would like addressed??
Hubby and I were talking yesterday about my diet. He always says how proud of me he is on what I have accomplished in the past year. I look in the mirror sometimes and go....Who is that looking back at me??
It's funny cause when I talk to people I usually say that I have been on a diet for ( blank) amount of time and have lost (blank) amount of weight. But now they look at me funny. I guess they are so shocked when I say it is 80lbs now. Well to tell you the truth, so am I.
Let's see...Yesterday I ate:
breakfast; 2 eggs, a smart and delicious wheat tortilla, cheese, 7 blackberries, 2 turkey bacon, coffee, blah, blah, blah.
One thing I have learned on the BFC is to make sure to eat a good healthy breakfast!!!
lunch; 2 slices of Oasis, low carb sprouted flaxseed bread, tuna w/olive oil mayo, spread open faced on the bread w/1/2 avocado spread on the bread first, then tuna on top, then pepperjack cheese on top and toasted in the toaster oven, with some veggie straws.
snack; some Josephs sugar free cookies.
dinner; I put some baby bok choy, sliced mushrooms, a little bit of yellow onion cut up, in some water in a bowl and steamed in the microwave, cooked a turkey pattie in the toaster oven and then cut up in the bowl with a pack of shitataki noodles and added some chicken bouillon. it looked like some kind of asian soup and was very good. after, some chocolate and white Redi-whip in a bowl w/2 squares of Lindt 85% dark chocolate.
I really believe in eating enough to feel good but not stuffed like I did before.
If you are new or just starting on the BFC, Start with the Belly Fat Cure book. Use this as a guide to teach you how to eat better. Ignore what it says on the cover "lose 4-9lbs every week". That might only happen in the first 2 weeks and then NOT..
Your body will eventually get used to what you are doing and you might not lose for a while. The one tip I can give you is to NOT GIVE UP - EVER! That's all I did and now I am 80lbs less. I remember many weeks where I said to hubby "I am not losing any more". But I just kept doing it, trying different things, like cutting out a carb or 2 a day, or not eating carbs past 3pm, choosing my carbs that I ate smarter.
I mentioned before that I do look at calories also. Even though it's not the focus of this diet, I do glance at it anyways. Why buy something with more calories when its not necessary.
@Cat, I really don't sleep well sometimes and I believe it's because of my age and possibly going thru menopause, but considering that - I have lots of energy even with not enough sleep.
@Kasey, yes I have been to the doctors a few months ago and everything is great!
Many of you have mentioned about me contacting Jorge. Let me just say I think he's only in it for the money now. I have posted on his fan page many, many times with my weight loss progress and I know he sees it along with many others that I have seen them say they lost up to 100lbs.
Because I have only bought his book and nothing else he doesn't care. I believe he only cares about the ones that have signed up for his additional classes. I don't know about you, but I can't afford that. I have been successful by buying his book only and by my own willpower.
I did this for me and me only!! I do this blog for you all!!! I would love to help anyone and everyone I can to lose weight and feel great like I do!!
Just one more think before I go, I noticed the other day something funny. through out the years, my hair has thinned out a lot. The other day I pulled my hair back in a pony tail and I noticed what looked like side burns. I was like....what the...I never cut it for it to be growing out. the only thing I can think is the Reslina I have been taking the past 3 months has helped my hair to grow back in. WOW! You should try it. It has Resveratrol and Spirulina in it and is full of anti-oxidants and is very healthy for you. You can buy it on ebay and amazon.com, their website is almost up now. The link is up on the left.
Well thats all for now. Thanks for listening. Lots of love to all of my BFC friends. Please leave your comments.
My thought for the day:
Meaning of Life
Keep on BFC ' n :-)

Mmm the dinner sounded yum! I might have to try that soup. It would actually be good for my sore throat/cold I think. That tuna melt meal sounds super yum too. Thanks for sharing your ideas. :)
ReplyDeleteHey girl!
ReplyDeleteHow fun it must be to have people be so shocked wehn they see you now, huh? I have lost alot of weight in the past and my last really big weight loss was in 1999-2000. I lost 56# and got pretty darned skinny. I remember one of my co workers said to me if I lost any more weight I would blow away. I will never forget that comment. It still makes me smile and I remember that day like it was yesterday. Enjoy all the wonderful feedback...you have worked hard and looking at that picture of you standing in your too big jeans just inspires me to no end!! Bravo my friend!! You never stopped believing and you never stopped trying. It is perseverence and comittment that will get us all where we are going.
Thanks for being an inspiration to all of us!! It is awesome to see that it really does work when YOU work it!
Oh, and by the way, I love that you are smiling in your picture!! :)
Have a great day!
Rosalie, Wow to think 80lbs gone that is such a great accomplishment. Whether or not Jorge realizes your weight loss efforts there are so many others see all the hardwork you have put into it and you inspire each and every day.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Sherri, perseverance and commitment will get us all there. You have led the way in this Rosalie and I am constantly inspired by your blog. I read it daily. I feel that if you can do it, I can do it too. We can ALL do it! If we help each other. Sometimes working hard on a goal can be isolating, I love how your blog includes everyone. And, I thank you for taking the time to write it.
ReplyDeleteAs far as Jorge goes, if you don't hear from him, it is HIS loss. I think he is simply very busy, in fact probably over extended, because he DOES care so much about his work and helping others. He wants no less than to change the way our society thinks about food, a very large all consuming kind of goal. I would give him the benefit of the doubt.
