I AM GRATEFUL...

Good Saturday Morning Friends,

It has been a long and kind of hard week for me. I am SO tired and not sleeping like usual. Work is stressful. The front of our house is a big mess. We have been living in our home for just about a year now and have started doing some fix up stuff.
We got new doors and are fixing up the front.
 That whole flower bed on the left will be gone and we are making a patio so we can sit outside.
I am SO GRATEFUL for everything I have in my life, even if it is stressful and I don't sleep. I know some of you have said go get another job... But seriously!!! If there were any - I would have. Yeah I don't get paid nearly enough for what I do, but I AM GRATEFUL to have that little paycheck every 2 weeks.

I am a creature of Habit - in case you don't know.

I get up early every day, take a shower, get dressed, make my bed, eat a healthy breakfast, then off to work. On the weekends, like now - the same then do all the stuff around the house. Like today - gotta do laundry, change the beds, clean the bathrooms, vacuum and dust and mop... run errands - blah-blah-blah.

But I am GRATEFUL for everything I have in my life - good and not so good.

My low weight where I lost the 90lbs was 148. I absolutely LOVE the way I eat and have found the balance in ME and continue to eat the way I always have to lose that weight.

I have been between 147 and 148 lately and love that I found how to stay this way. I just eat healthy - try to think healthy - and try my best to stay fit.

After a HARD and stressful day, I can't wait to just get home and change my shoes and walk with my furry kids EVERY SINGLE DAY... I think I am addicted to walking and go at least 2-3.5 miles every evening.

When I get back from my walk - I eat my dinner, then try to relax a bit with some TV.
I wish you all a great weekend. If you are near me, you are welcome to come walk down the trails with me and my furry kids and visit some of my horsey friends. It is so peaceful.

  1. Wow, those are some doors! I'm glad you are enjoying the projects even though it is hard work. Thank you for checking in :) I miss seeing all the blogs to keep me motivated!

  2. Always, always get motivation and good perspective from you. I keep saying I have to blog and I guess I am not making it enough of a priority. I am on vacation this week. I am going to try and post. Thanks for the great post today. XO!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
