Hello Friends,
I started my weight loss journey over 4 years ago. I can't believe it has been that long. When I began eating this way - let me tell you that it was not all Peaches and Cream. It was not easy. My stomach hurt until I got used to it. For 2 months actually I had tummy aches and felt like I was starving.
I was used to eating anything and everything I wanted. I am an adult after all and can do what ever I want!
RIGHT??
That was my OLD attitude towards food and my health. Now I KNOW that ----
HEALTH BEGINS with what you put in your mouth! It's as simple as that. That's all I did was change what I ate and I lost weight. 90 lbs to be exact, and I have kept it off. I did not lose 4-9 lbs a week like Jorge promises. Let me tell you that is NOT HEALTHY to lose that much weight at once anyway.
Slow and steady wins the race - Remember that!! 1-2 lbs a week is a great amount.
Please keep in mind that once you make this decision to get healthy - you need to know that this is a ONE WAY ROAD and there is NO GOING BACK...
You May NOT EVER eat the way you used to - EVER!! I think its about at least 50% MENTAL, meaning its all in your head. YUP
Once you realize that its OK to eat and be different and that we are eating for our health now and not what just looks and sounds good, and know that its OK to say NO to the bad foods - that really is half the battle.
Its hard to get used to saying NO to temptation But YOU CAN DO IT!.
You also need the knowledge to know what foods are good and healthy and what is not.
I am happy to share everything that I have learned along my journey with you - HERE. All the recipes that I have found and altered are on here under the recipe tab.
Please keep in mind that in order for me to lose 90 lbs in 1 year I had to be very strict and diligent.
NEVER QUIT and NEVER GIVE UP. Keep going no matter what!
This is PurpleRosy signing off...
Keep on BFC ' n :-)

Some tips if you are having trouble
- First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
- Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
- Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
- Make sure you drink lots of water.
- Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
- Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
- Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
- Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
I hope this helps.

OK, seriously, just typed a post, pushed the publish button and it disappeared!!! It happened before and I thought I did something wrong, this time I was careful...UGH!!! OK, so here is what I think I said....
ReplyDeleteI have missed seeing your posts more often! Your words are true and we can never go back. I have to learn that lesson over and over again. I shall return as soon as I wrap my head around the lifestyle again. I won't give up! Thank you for still being here!!!
I agree with Kay. I love when you post on your blog. I am totally enamored with you. I love your honesty, your sincerity. I love you being you! All this being said, I also love how successful you are and have been. You know that you're in the minority don't you? Unfortunately most people are not as successful as you have been. I wish we could bottle whatever it is that you have. I would definitely buy it if it led to your kind of success.
ReplyDeleteI keep on trying. That's all I know.
I have a question for you. What muffin recipe do you use for the muffin that you had for breakfast yesterday? It really looks good and I would love to try them.
Thanks so much, Rosalie and continued good luck with sweet little Conan. :)
Blessings and Hugs,
Linda in Western NC :)
Thanks so much for the recipe on your Face Book page. I see that you have listed it before. I apologize for asking for you to post it again. Since I don't do Face Book it wasn't until recently that I noticed that I could even see your page. I can't see most people's without an account myself. I also can't make comments. That's why I love your "anonymous" setting on your blog.
ReplyDeleteOK ... bothered you enough for one day.
Have a beautiful, relaxing weekend, dear friend!
