Sally's 80th Birthday

Hello Everyone,

Yesterday was such a fun, fun time. It was a great party and there must have been at least 100 people at Hubby's Mom's house.
I ate breakfast and lunch at home. I had a baggie of walnuts and almonds in my purse and ate some around 4:30 over there while everyone else was eating ruffles and dip. I also ate 1 Midnight Revere chocolate square I had in my purse also.
So I got a bit worried about the menu when I found out what they had planned to serve. It was a Hawaiian theme, so they served margaritas, pina coladas, chicken with teriaki sauce, macaroni salad, white rice and sweet rolls. I snuck a bottle of Merlot in the car so I could have a drink just in case everything was sweet. Good thing I did. I wound up drinking about 2 & 1/2 glasses only filled 1/2 way of course like this.

When the girl came around serving the food, I asked her if there was any veggies and she said just the cabbage under the chicken. So I asked her to bring me some chicken with no sauce and cabbage. I still tasted a little sauce - but not very much at all. I also had 2 small bites of the cake later.
Here are some more pictures:

My thought for the day:

Our Finest Moments

Our Finest Moments Positive QuoteThe truth is that our finest moments are most likely to occur when we are feeling deeply uncomfortable, unhappy, or unfulfilled. For it is only in such moments, propelled by our discomfort, that we are likely to step out of our ruts and start searching for different ways or truer answers.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)
